2021 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

10th September, 2021

The entire EXCO and members of our great branch, NIESV Abuja, participated fully at the just concluded 2021 Annual National Conference that took place at International Conference Center (ICC) Abuja.

DAY 1 – MONDAY 21st DAY OF JUNE, 2021
We were fully involved at the Professional Visitation which featured Facility Tour to CITEC ESTATE/ Building materials factory where we were warmly received by ESV Oludare Bello, FNIVS.

The day 1 event ended with visit to the New National Secretariat Building at Gudu – Abuja. We leveraged on this visit to showcase our NIESV Abuja space where a well decorated HALL OF FAME was mounted with the names of members who have contributed above N=500,000.00 (Five hundred thousand naira only) to this project. It was a successful outing.

DAY 2 – TUESDAY, 22nd DAY OF JUNE, 2021
On day 2 of the event, we were fully involved from the Press conference at ICC to the visit to the Traditional ruler of Garki which was led by the Honorary Secretary of our branch, ESV Kehinde Olubayo, ANIVS.

The day 2 event ended with a colourful branch chairman`s welcome party where our action Chairman, ESV Ikenna Lansar Aghaji, FNIVS welcome all delegates with glamour. It was a colourful event.

DAY 3 - WEDNESDAY, 23rd DAY OF JUNE, 2021
On day 3, which was our 1 plenary session, our members took part in the subject titled REAL ESTE & NATIONAL ECONOMY.

The lead paper titled UNLOCKING REAL ESTATE POTENTIALS FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT and was taken by our 2 Vice President and an active member of this branch, ESV Victor Alonge, FNIVS.

Other paper presenters for day 3 were ESV Emmanuel Alao, FNIVS, ESV Oluwatoyin Abosede Ilori, FNIVS, ESV Olawuyi Bola Kuburat, ANIVS, ESV Olufemi Adedamola Oyedele, ANIVS, ESV (Dr.) Chukwuemeka Romanus Ire-Okoli, FNIVS and ESV (Prof.) Kemiki Olurotimi, FNIVS, ESV Folarin, Oluwakemi Temitope, ANIVS, ESV Yayok Paul Kanwai, ANIVS and ESV Sani Kuzayet, ANIVS. It was an inspiring deliberation.

The day 3 event was crowned by a colourful CULTURAL NIGHT, with display of rich diverse culture of Nigeria in dance, music and drama. It was an epoch-making event.

DAY 4 – THURSDAY, 24TH DAY OF JUNE, 2021
Day 4 was the official opening ceremony and our Branch participated fully and actively as the host branch. Dignitaries at the opening ceremony include but not limited to Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), The Hon. Minister of Works & Housing who was the Chief Host, Alh. Muhammed Bello, Hon. Minister of FCT, Barr. Boss Mustapha- Secretary To The Federal Government of Nigeria, HE DR. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR, GCON, HE, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN – Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria were all Special Guest of Honour.

The day 4 event ended with Students` Dinner Party at the main Auditorium of Women Center, Central Area, Abuja.

DAY 5 – FRIDAY, 25TH DAY OF JUNE, 2021
Day 5 featured Sporting activities anchored by the Honorary Secretary of our branch, ESV Kehinde Olubayo, ANIVS.

Members across all our branches took part in Golf tournament, Squash, Table Tennis, Chess. The climax of the sporting activities was the Football competition between Fellows and Associates, Associates defeated Fellows by 3 goals to nil. Trophies and medals were later presented to all winners at the Gala night.

DAY 6 – SATURDAY, 26TH DAY OF JUNE, 2021
Day 6 was the last day of the event and it featured AGM/Gala Night.

Gala Night was a top-notch, well organized in a serene and ambience environment of CONGRESS HALL of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Maitama – Abuja.
The night gave all participants, we the host and our members from other branches memories to cherish for a very long time. Plagues and awards were presented to the Chairman of this year`s planning committee of National Conference who is also an active member of this branch, ESV Kene Onuora, FNIVS.

Indeed, Abuja branch have demonstrated the stuff we are made of as a first-rate branch among other branches of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers in the country.
