NIESV ABUJA BRANCH PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, FCT COMMAND CP, BENNETH IGWEHThursday 25th April, 2024, the Executive Committee and other delegates, ably led by the branch Chairman paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, F.C.T. Command, CP Benneth Igweh, (who is also an Estate Surveyor and Valuer), and his management team, who warmly received them.

The visit served as part of advocacy and partnership efforts of the branch.

The Branch Chairman, ESV Adebanjo Adeleke FNIVS, in his brief speech began by congratulating the Police Commissioner, CP Benneth Igweh, on his recent promotion as the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, and commending his effort so far in curbing criminal activities in the FCT. He highlighted our core professional competencies, whilst seeking for collaboration in our range of services rendered.

The Chairman then specially invited him to the Valuation Day Celebration and to be the Guest of Honour for the commissioning of the New Branch Secretariat on 6th May, 2024.

The CP appreciated the goodwill message, and collaborative move by the branch, and also graciously accepted the invitation.

The CP who is also an Estate Surveyor and Valuer, conveyed his utmost readiness to identify and integrate with the Branch as a member, as well as attend our meetings and activities when available.

He further opined on the dire need to intensify our advocacy on the value of our services to the public, so as to curb the infiltration on our professional practice, thereby taking the position of expert authority, particularly in the area of Property Development, where Estates are seen to be run down, buildings collapsing, and Vacant Estates (not just buildings) littered all over the Capital Territory.

He reiterated on the task he had at hand, one of which is to ensure security within the FCT, and also implored that we join them in the important task of policing; first as patriotic citizens and then as knowledgeable elites, recapping with the tagline `see something, say something`.

The meeting came to a conclusion with the presentation of Congratulations Card, Valuation Day T-Shirts, NIESV Abuja Calendars and taking of group photographs.
