NIESV BRANCH WEEKLY REPORT ON 1ST FEBRUARY TO 6TH FEBRUARY, 2021

THE WEEKLY REPORT OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTION OF ESTATE SURVEYORS & VALUERS ABUJA BRANCH SPANNING MONDAY, 1ST DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2021 TO SATURDAY, 6TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2021*

This is *WEEK 21* report of activities of Abuja branch to increase the level of awareness on the programs of ESV Ikenna Lansar Aghaji`s led administration to our esteemed members, in line with his target of repackaging and rebranding NIESV Abuja branch.

1. REGULAR MEETING OF THE SECRETARIAT & ICT COMMITTEE
Monday, 1st day of February, 2021.
On this date, The Secretariat & ICT Committee of our Abuja branch ably led by the Honorary Secretary had it`s first meeting for the year 2021 preparatory to The Branch Monthly General Meeting.
Issues listed for discussions includes but not limited to Official report on management of SUPARCELL NIESV House, Update on Our tenants at the Branch Secretariat and Assessment of the performance of our website.
We had a fruitful celebration.
2. REPORT OF FINANCE & GENERAL PURPOSE
Monday, 1st day of February, 2021

On this date, the Executive Committee received the weekly report of Finance & General-Purpose Committee, the third official report in the year 2021.
The report faithfully represents our transactions at the Branch and it was free of material errors and bias, and not misleading.
The Branch Chairman applauded the Finance committee for meeting their target.

3. GENERAL MONTHLY MEETING OF THE NIESV ABUJA BRANCH

Tuesday, 2nd day of February, 2021

On this date, our Branch Chairman, ESV Ikenna Lansar Aghaji, FNIVS satisfactorily led the members into the first general monthly meeting of the year.
The Branch Chairman seized the opportunity to welcome all members back from Holidays, appreciated them for their passion and commitment to the Branch and the Institution in 2020 and solicited for their maximum cooperation and support in the new year 2021.
Far reaching decisions were made at the meeting.
The next General Monthly Meeting of the Branch is on Tuesday, 2nd day of March, 2021.
Please safe the date.

4. MEETING/ PRESS CONFERENCE AT MINISTRY OF JUSTICE (OBASANJO HALL) ABUJA

Tuesday, 2nd day of February, 2021

On this date, our President, ESV Sir Chief Emmanuel Okas Wike FNIVS in the company of ESV IKENNA LANSAR AGHAJI FNIVS, the Chairman Abuja branch and other members of Abuja Branch were at the press conference organised by the IMC on Valuation and Sale of Forfeited Assets to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The press conference availed our President and other members present to present our own position in connection with the publications in Daily Trust Newspaper, This day Newspaper and Federal Government Journal of Monday 1st day of February, 2021.
Interestingly, the meeting has enhanced our relationship with relevant stakeholders in this matter.

5. OFFICIAL INAUGURATION OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF FELLOWS

Wednesday, 3rd day of February, 2021.

On this date, The Chairman Of The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors & Valuers, Abuja branch, ESV Ikenna Lansar Aghaji FNIVS, FCAI inaugurated the Executive Committee of Fellows for Abuja branch.
The Chairman of this committee is ESV LONGE, NATHANIEL MODUPE FNIVS, The Vice Chairman is ESV OKAFOR CHIKA FNIVS. Also present at the Inauguration was the Immediate past Chairman of the committee, who is now The Chairman Board of Fellows at the National, ESV IRE-OKOLI CHUKWUEMEKA ROMANUS FNIVS.
Among several other things, the committee is saddled with the responsibility of bringing together all Fellows of the Branch and getting them to participate and get involved in all Branch and the Institution Affairs and Activities.
The terms of reference was officially handed over to the new Chairman who excitedly gave his acceptance speech, appreciating God for the privilege of service and assuring the Branch of his readiness to make things work.
The Chairman Board of Fellows also gave his valedictory speech and promised to continue to support the Branch when needed. The last time this Committee was inaugurated was in 2012. This is a plus for this Administration.
